Muir of Ord teenager continues 10k dominance with victory in Moray Road Runners 10k in Miltonduff
MUIR of Ord teenager Caitlyn Heggie continued her dominance of the 10k circuit in the north as she cruised to the women's title at the Moray Road Runners 10k.
The Dingwall Academy sixth year pupil put in another excellent performance to capture the title in a time of 36 minutes and 38 seconds at Miltonduff.
Despite winning the Moray Road Runners 10k title, the Inverness Harriers teenager was not eligible for the North District Championship due to only being 17.
The North District title went to Gemma Cormack of Moray Road Runners, who finished in second place in the race in 38 minutes and eight seconds.
Helen Leigh of Highland Hill Runners finished in third place in a time of 38:31.
Heggie followed up her victory at the Nairn 10k earlier this month.
In the men's race, James Wilson of Moray Road Runners claimed victory in a time of 31:54.
Shaun Cumming of East Sutherland Athletics Club was in second place in 32:21 and Donnie Macdonald of Inverness in 33:01.
