A82 re-opens after reports of ‘serious injuries’ in accident on main road between Inverness and Drumnadrochit by Loch Ness

The A82 has reopened almost five hours after reports of a pedestrian being seriously injured in a crash between Inverness and Drumnadrochit.

Three people in all were injured and taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness after the accident said to involve a single vehicle.

The Loch Ness side road was closed in both directions at the Loch Ness Clansman Hotel at Balcraggan after the incident was reported at 12.20pm.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “The A82 re-opened around 4.50pm on Wednesday, 3 October, following a crash at the Loch Ness Clansman Hotel that happened around midday.

“Emergency services attended and three people were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment.”
