Car fire in Invergordon prompts emergency vehicle response

A CAR caught fire in an Easter Ross town earlier today with firefighters called out at 1.21pm.

The accident took place on Seabank Road and was due to a small fire in the engine compartment of the vehicle.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson confirmed that no one was in the car at the time and no one was injured.

One appliance was sent from Dingwall to deal with the incident.
