DEVERON Valley Boxing Club’s first showcase last Friday night proved to be a successful one for its local fighters.

Ethan Cowie, Lewis McCormick and brothers Callum and William Stuart all won their matches at the event at Macduff Bowling Club.

The evening saw a mixture of adult and junior fights, with boxers travelling from Fort William, Aberdeen, Peterhead and as far afield as Berwickshire.

Deveron Valley head coach William Stuart said: “The show was a great success with some excellent boxing on the night.

“We would like to thank all the spectators who came to support our local boxers and their opponents who had came the length and breadth of Scotland."
