Franz Ferdinand at Strathpeffer Pavillion performed ‘banger after banger’
Franz Ferdinand at Strathpeffer Pavilion performed an “almost flawless set” at the “intimate venue”.
The Scottish rock band, which formed in Glasgow in 2002, played a sold out gig in the Ross-shire town on the evening of September 26.
Composed of Alex Kapranos, Bob Hardy, Julian Corrie, Dino Bardot and Audrey Tait, the band are best known for their hits Take me Out, Do You Want to, This Fire, The Dark of the Matinee and Love Illumination.
The band is no stranger to a Highland gig, having played festivals Belladrum and Loopallu, as well as the Inverness Ironworks.
Franz Ferdinand’s Strathpeffer gig also saw the band Brenda as a special guest.
Fans who attended the concert took to social media to share their rave reviews.
Philip Persoglio said: “I first saw this band over 20 years ago, and I have lost count of how many times I’ve seen them since. It was great to see them in this intimate venue.”
John Scott commented: “Brilliant gig. Thanks so much for coming north.”
iGigs stated: “It was great to feel the pavilion floor bounce, while Franz Ferdinand played an almost flawless set. A stunning night that flew by.”
Richie Begg said: “Absolutely brilliant show tonight, a mix of new and old and older, a high octane show from start to finish with banger after banger. This fire was just epic. Thanks guys and gal. A quirky and fun support too... Brenda, got a new fan here. Haste ye back good luck on rest of your tour.”

Next stop for Franz Ferdinand is Stirling’s Albert Hall on September 27, before heading to The Venue in Dumfries on September 28.
The Strathpeffer gig came just after the band announced they will be taking their The Human Fear tour to North America in March and April of 2025, with their general sale tickets going opening on September 27.
