UPDATE: 31 year old man charged by Police Scotland after motorhome and HGV crash on A9 between Aviemore and Inverness

A 31 year-old man has been charged after a campervan and HGV lorry collided this morning on the A9 between Inverness and Aviemore.

The collision happened at the Blackmount A9 junction with the A938, locally known as the Carrbridge junction.

Emergency services attended and the road was partially blocked, but ahs now been cleared.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 9.05am on Friday, 4 October, 2024 we were called to a report of a crash involving a lorry and a campervan on the A9 near to Carrbridge junction.

“There were no reports of any injuries.

“A 31-year-old man was charged in connection with a road traffic offence and issued with a fixed penalty notice.”
