Former Ross County manager Derek Adams is already recruiting staff in anticipation of his next role.

The 48-year-old left Dingwall in February after a dismal run of just two points in eight league matches - as well as a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Partick Thistle in the Scottish Cup.

His latter form in charge of the Staggies belied what had been a positive start, where he drew one and won two of his opening three matches.

However, a return to management could be on the cards soon for Adams, who has already posted on Linked In in a bid to recruit backroom staff.

“I am going to be recruiting for a first-team football coach, first-team fitness and conditioning coach, and first-team tactical analyst to add to my backroom team in preparation for my next managerial position,” he wrote.

Adams did not specify where his next role would be - telling connections further details would follow, but did continue: “Alexander Graham Bell said ‘before anything else, preparation is the key to success’.

“Let that sink in. The key to finding success in your career requires a diverse skill set, and intellect, emotional intelligence, and functional or technical skills are all important.”
