Inverness to Tain travellers face two months of disruption on late night ScotRail services

Late evening rail commuters between Inverness and Tain are set for two months of disruption.

Two ScotRail services between the city and town will be cancelled from Monday to Thursday from October 7 until December 5 to allow trackworks to be completed between Inverness and Muir of Ord.

During this period, a rail replacement service by bus will operate.

The two alterations are:

21.29 Inverness - Tain train, cancelled.

Replacement bus departs Inverness 21.29, arriving Tain 23.01.

22.45 Tain - Inverness train cancelled.

Replacement bus departs Tain 23.05, arriving Inverness 00.37.

The following bus pick-up points will be in use:

Inverness - Eastgate side of the station at the short stay car park.

Beauly - Car park in front of the station.

Muir of Ord - Station car park.

Conon Bridge - Top of Station Road, from the bus stops on either side of the A862.

Dingwall - Car park in front of station.

Alness - Perrins Centre adjacent to station road entrance.

Invergordon - Station Rd, outside St Joseph's Church.

Fearn - Station main entrance on B9165.

Tain - Station car park.
