Academy springs into action with fair fun in Dingwall
ROSS-SHIRE's biggest secondary school was the local centre of attention on Saturday when it staged its annual Spring Fair.
Dingwall Academy pupils, staff and parents were joined by other willing volunteers in making the event one to remember.
Head teacher Karen Cormack said there had been great support from the whole community.
She said: "There was something for everyone with inflatable activities, food stalls, musical entertainment and lots and lots of chocolate!"
An important part of the Spring Fair are the stalls run by S2 pupils who are tasked with planning them in class and organising them on the day. Ms Cormack said: "This is a fun way to engage with the curriculum and to learn important skills such as teamwork, planning and customer service.
"We are very grateful to the many local business who supported the event with donations and prizes."
