Alness Lodge boost supports academy hairdressing class

Freemasons have made a donation to help boost skills training at Alness Academy.

Members of Lodge Averon in the Easter Ross town recently presented the school with a cheque for £150 to go towards its new hairdressing class.

The donation was presented by Lodge members Charlie Carrison, James Douglas and Robert Sutherland to staff and pupils recently.

A spokesperson for the Lodge said: “The money will be used to buy equipment.

“The initiative aims to help our youngsters gain real like work skills combining academic learning with a real life situation - numerical, business and communication skills.

“Our community. Our kids.”
