Stage set for Alness students showcase at UHI campus
THE TALENTS of students in Alness will be on display when the town’s North Highland College UHI campus hosts its latest Tea at the Tern showcase next week.
The free annual student showcase and open day will run from midday to 3pm on Monday in the college’s Tern House site at Alness Point.
There will be live music from students. Family friendly entertainment, including a bouncy castle, stalls, face painting, arts and crafts and refreshments will also be on hand courtesy of the child, health, education and social care students.
The day also serves to showcase some of the courses offered at the site to prospective future students.

Programme leader for HNC Music and Sound Production, Peter Noble, said: “We are really looking forward to an exciting and eventful day. Our music and sound production students are working hard to put together some great performances. The care students are planning activities for families which will make the event fun for all involved.”
North Highland College UHI campus in Alness specialises in music, sound production and film-making courses as well as child health and social care courses. Anyone looking to study any of the courses available from the Highland college are encouraged to attend on the day to see the facilities available and speak to students and staff first hand.
Mr Noble added: "It's a great way for us to meet prospective students and give them some information about our courses as well as a tour of the campus."
