Attadale Gardens, in the North west coast of the Highlands, has been forced to close today due to high winds throughout the night causing damage to surrounding forestry.

A spokesperson from Attadale Gardens said: “We took the difficult decision to close the garden as the wind blew hard all night, and we had some branches and trees come down.

"Our concern was that you can never be sure that another tree or branch may not fall and hurt someone."

They continued: "It is because of the potential risk to people as the wind continues to blow that we have closed"

Attadale Gardens have said that their decision to reopen will be reviewed tomorrow morning.

Many businesses have been affected dramatically because of Storm Babet, from Marks and Spencer struggling with limited stock due to a landslide at Dunkeld, to public transport across the Highlands being suspended after red weather warnings were issued by the Met Office yesterday afternoon.
