AN award-winning Wester Ross museum hopes to hit the right note with music fans in August.

Gairloch Museum is amongst the venues on the Feis Rois ceilidh trail.

The Dingwall-based arts organisation organises the ceilidh trail in a wide variety of venues to give budding musicians the chance to fine tune their performance in front of a live audience.

This year, it takes in Gairloch Museum on Friday, August 12 from 2pm to 4pm.

Entry is free of charge.

The museum announced: "We are delighted to be hosting the ceilidh trail at the museum this year. Come along and hear these wonderful young musicians play some traditional tunes and maybe take in the museum collection too."

The trail runs until August 13.
