WARM Winter Wednesdays continue today at a popular visitor attraction in a Wester Ross community.

Gairloch Museum is flagging the continuation of its programme through March.

It's one of several such initiatives which have sprung up across Ross-shire in response to the energy and cost of living crisis.

The scheme has also been credited with bringing people together and strengthening communities.

Why is this Gairloch head teacher saddling up for 4200km epic cycle ride?

The museum posted: "Come along and take part in our crafting activities, read a newspaper or challenge someone to a game of tiddlywinks. You can relax in Am Bard cafe and enjoy a bowl of Sally's delicious soup.

"There is no charge and no need to book - just drop in anytime between 10:30am and 3pm. If you need a lift, we can arrange transport."

It shared photos from a fun felting activity staged last week.

It added: "Stay warm, stay well!"

The scheme is assisted by Gairloch Aid & Mobility Support (GAMS) and the Scottish Government's Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund.
