Cromarty pizza specialists mark business’s 20th anniversary with shout out to customers
A BLACK Isle business which has carved out an enviable reputation for its wood-fired pizzas is celebrating its 20th anniversary - and anticipating “sunnier days ahead” after negotiating some tough challenges.
Sutor Creek opened on May 28, 2004 in the village of Cromarty.
Its latest owners, Phoebe and Graham Fox, have navigated their way through the coronavirus pandemic, soaring energy prices and the cost of living crisis.

Phoebe Fox said: “Although Graham and I are the third owners (unbelievably since 2010), we believe it is worth celebrating its 20th year in business
“The last few years have been incredibly hard - as it has for most small businesses - with the impact of the pandemic, energy prices and cost of living crisis. But, through adapting - finally now back to being a restaurant - we have hopefully made it through the worst and there will be sunnier days ahead.
“With the restaurant now back in full swing, we are concentrating our take-away menu on wood-fired pizza and beer-battered fish & chips. We will introduce a take-away menu full of customer favourites for the autumn and winter.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support we are given from Cromarty, the Black Isle and further afield. We are also incredibly proud of our team and the work they put in to make Sutor Creek what it is.
“Here is to Sutor Creek’s next chapter.”
