The event at Fortrose and Rosemarkie Golf Club is being staged on Friday, May 9 with a full complement of 22 teams and 20 hole sponsors.

The charity golf competition has raised tens of thousands for vital research down the years.

A hole in one at the 18th could win one lucky golfer a car thanks to sponsorship from Allan Mackenzie at Autovision.

Sponsors of the event include Upland Development, Highland Fuels and Alba Supplies and Services.

Dicksons of Inverness will also support the event with the company showcasing one of its latest models. Sales director Jim Mackenzie said: “We are delighted to support this local event and hope that the day is a great success.”

Final details of the event will be sent to teams by the club manager over the next couple of weeks.

It is the policy of the branch that all money raised goes to Cancer Research at the Beatson Institute in Glasgow.
