Burst water pipe repaired after Plockton incident closes school

A BURST water mains supply that prompted closure of a Ross-shire secondary yesterday has been repaired.

A number of properties in the Plockton area were affected by the Friday morning incident which was attended by Scottish Water staff.

Plockton High School was closed for the day because of the issue.

Scottish Water said staff attended the site around 8.15am and were subsequently able to rezone supply to the school and to the majority of properties in Plockton.

A spokeswoman said that only 20 properties were affected thereafter and the repair was complete by around 1.15pm.

She said: "Scottish Water apologises for any inconvenience caused."
