Cheers to that as Slaughterhouse Coffee in Cromarty reopens with familiar face at the helm
CAFFEINE addicts in a Black Isle community had cause to celebrate a special occasion at the far end of the peninsula yesterday.
It was a big day too for Laura Thompson who has taken over Slaughterhouse Coffee in Cromarty.
The reopening of the small coffee house prompted flowers, cards and messages of support from locals as Ms Thompson, who has been involved with the venture since it started more than three years ago, took charge.
She said later: "What a day! Thanks to every single one of you who came along tto celebrate the reopening of Slaughterhouse Coffee. I appreciate it more than you know. Lucky to have such loyal locals and so happy to be back behind the coffee machine. Here’s to many more days ahead!"
The venue has made it to a number of "best-kept secret" lists amongst coffee lovers.
A queue system is in place to allow for social distancing between picking up coffees and ordering. At present it opens from Friday to Monday, 9am until 1pm.
Vandyke Brothers Specialty Coffee will continue as a roaster and wholesaler of coffee.
