AN Easter Ross supermarket is hosting a fair to celebrate local community spirit this weekend.

The fair is to be held in the car park of Tain’s Shore Road Tesco on Sunday (August 14) between 11am to 4pm. It promises to showcase the wealth of opportunities available for local people to get involved in the local community.

From music and monster trucks to magic and burgers (by the Frying Scotsman), there promises to be plenty of interactive fun and games for the family. Entrance is free for customers and local families.

There will be around 20 stalls representing local community groups, charities and local suppliers. These include representatives from Tain Rotary Club, Caithness Biscuits, the British Legion and 1st Tain Guides, to name but a few.

Joanne Oliver, community champion at the store explained, "We hope as many people as possible will come and enjoy the day and engage with all the different local charities, groups and local suppliers. There will be something for everybody at the fair."
