Co-op competition opens for emerging artists to win the chance to play at Belladrum
Emerging artists are being given the opportunity to perform at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.
Co-op and the festival are teaming up to support grassroots music, so Co-op members are being invited to enter an exclusive talent search.
Two winners of the search will be given a slot to perform on the Bella Bar stage or the Co-op stage at this year’s festival.
Open to solo acts and bands from across Scotland, the talent search is designed to uncover the next big thing and provide them with a platform in front of the festival’s lively crowds.
Entries will be reviewed by representatives from Belladrum and Co-op, who will shortlist the most promising acts.
From there, one winner will be selected internally, while the second will be decided through a public vote, giving festival fans a say in who they want to see take the stage.
Dougie Brown, Belladrum Festival producer, said: “Since the very first festival in 2004, Belladrum has been committed to showcasing emerging talent alongside established names. Partnering with Co-op for this talent search aligns perfectly with our belief in nurturing new artists and giving them a stage to shine and grow. We look forward to reviewing the entries!”
Nuala Donnelly, head of partnerships and events at Co-op, added: “The Belladrum performance competition is another great way for us to reward our members with unique experiences and we’re thrilled that we get to help an emerging performer achieve their dream with this amazing opportunity. Good luck to everyone that’s entering.”
The talent search opens on April 26 and will close on May 10. Aspiring artists are encouraged to submit their entries for a chance to be part of one of Scotland’s most longstanding festivals.
