The victory not only marks a significant milestone in Molly’s dancing career but also sets her on a path towards even greater achievements as she is now determined to compete in the World Highland Dancing Championships which takes place in August at Cowal each year.
Molly, who attends the Melanie McKay School of Dancing, said: “I always looked up to the older girls in my dancing class, who were preparing to dance at the World Championships.
“They have been a real inspiration to me, and I am determined to keep practicing, so that I can be a Championship dancer one day too”.
Proud mum Annalee said: “Molly has worked incredibly hard over the last year, to win her Pre-Championship title, and has so much commitment and enthusiasm to dancing. We are all so proud of her.”
Molly has also been chosen as part of a team of Highland Dancers to represent the North of Scotland at the Highlands and Islands Music and Dance Festival in Oban next year.
The Scottish Area Finals features seventeen area teams and is the only Highland Dancing team event of its kind to be held in the world.
