Death of much-loved former Dingwall Academy teacher sparks tributes as funeral details shared
TRIBUTES are being paid to a former Dingwall Academy teacher who has died at his home.
The funeral will take place on Thursday of this week of Alexander Johnstone Law, better known to many as Sandy.
The former English teacher, husband of the late Janet Law, died at home on Tuesday, May 7.

Amongst those paying tribute was Maryburgh Community Council which posted: “Sandy will be known to many as a former English teacher at Dingwall Academy, he was involved in many community groups and was a valued member of Maryburgh Community Council.
“Sandy will be missed greatly by his fellow members who very much valued and respected his contributions.”
The former English teacher taught two generations at Ross-shire largest secondary school.
Many have paid tribute following the announcement of his passing. One posted: “Great teacher lovely man will be greatly missed x.”
Another wrote: “Very sad to hear this news. My absolute favourite teacher. Rest in peace, Mr Law. You will always be remembered.”
His funeral service will be held at D. Gunn Funeral Home, on Thursday May 16 at 9.30 am and thereafter to Inverness Crematorium.
All friends are respectfully invited and family flowers only are requested. But donations may be given at the service if so desired for Munlochy Animal Aid.
