Dingwall Academy prepares pupils and parents for a 'return' to study; Cornavirus lockdown triggers trailblazing online learning bid
PUPILS at Ross-shire's largest secondary school are being teed up for their "return" to classes.
With the school term diary thrown into chaos by the coronavirus crisis, teachers and education bosses have been working to find a way to continue to deliver the curriculum remotely while the lockdown continues.
Although pupils were due to return from the Easter break this week, instead they will face learning from home in what is set to be one of the biggest challenges faced by Highland education in generations.
Dingwall Academy was amongst those sending out emails to pupils yesterday paving the way for a return to "online school".
Emails were due to have been sent to all parents and carers of pupils in the school's S1 to. S5.
Information was also posted on the S1to S5 Google Communications Classroom.
Parents and carers have been asked to take time to look over this with their children.
There will be further information sent out for S6 pupils and those in S4 and S5 planning to leave school.
A message posted yesterday said: "It has been a very different Easter but we hope that everyone has managed to find some time to relax. And if you have been busy as a key worker over the Easter break - we thank you all."
It is amongst several schools to have shared information with parents on learning arrangements during the lockdown.
