Dingwall missing man (52) has been found

A Dingwall missing man has been found, following “non-stop searching” from his family, friends and police.

Before going missing, George Ashcroft (52) was last seen at around 8pm on Tuesday (July 9), in the Achany Road area of Dingwall.

Police Scotland and his wife Karen made public pleas on social media to find him, as they grew “increasingly concerned for his welfare”.

Over 2000 people shared Police Scotland’s appeal to find Mr Ashcroft. It has now been confirmed by the police that he has been found.

She said: “My husband George has been found. We thank each and every one of you and our family for all the support. Thank you Police Scotland Highland and Islands. George will now received the help he needs and we as for some quiet time in these next coming days.”
