Dingwall power outage impacts multiple homes
A DINGWALL power cut has affected multiple homes in the county town this morning (February 25).
The power cut, which was first reported at 9.32am, has affected an estimated 11 customers with homes in the IV15 postcode area.
Some of the streets affected include Bayne Drive, Tulloch Castle Drive, Peffery Road, Meiklefield Road, Millcraig Road, Newton Road, Grant Street and Gladstone Avenue.
SSEN have confirmed that the outage has been logged, and that they aim to restore power by 1pm today.
Explaining the reason for the outage, SSEN said: “The cause of this power cut is a fault on our underground network.
“This is the most common type of fault we see, and our teams are very experienced in dealing with these issues. In most cases, our engineers are able to get your power back on by simply replacing a fuse at the local substation, however, if the fault is severe, this may take us longer to fix. If this does happen, we will let you know.”
