'Give us a Lidl help hitting our charity challenge', say Dingwall store staff
STAFF at a Dingwall supermarket will be tempting customers with home bakes and tablet on Saturday as they take the latest step in a major fundraising drive.
Lidl colleagues are gearing up for a 250km walk for the NSPCC in July. But before they start, they need to haul in £2000 – almost half of which has already been raised by an Easter raffle.
Tray bakes and tablet will be sold to help boost the kitty. And on May 17, Joan Tracey will hold a sponsored silence. She said: “Anyone who knows me will know this will be a great challenge.”
While keeping shtum, she will crochet a blanket with wool donated by local business Cormack & Crawford which will then be auctioned at a race night scheduled for Saturday, June 1 at the National Hotel in Dingwall.
That event, starting at 7pm, has secured support from local businesses and there will be additional games to win various bottles.
