Two-metre snow drifts leave drivers in Ross-shire stranded on A835 between Garve and Braemore as BEAR Scotland maintenance crews battle through the night
BEAR Scotland says its teams have been "working tirelessly" overnight as winter weather conditions affected routes across the north of Scotland.
It said: "Our teams are presently dealing with two-metre deep drifting snow on the A835 between Garve and Braemore which has stranded a number of vehicles.
"The road is currently closed and teams are working closely with Police Scotland and other agencies to recover vehicles and ensure the safety of the people involved.
"Additional winter fleet has been mobilised and is making good progress in clearing the road although this is currently being hampered by high winds causing further drifting."
