Invergordon Leisure Centre open day a hit with visitors

A ROSS-SHIRE leisure centre’s open day made a good effort to offer something for everyone with a range of tasters aimed to encouraging people to have fun keeping fit.

Invergordon Leisure Centre lined up a varied programme of free fitness activities for anyone to come along and try out.

These included strength and conditioning, teen gym, gym inductions, court activities, aqua aerobics, indoor cycling and pilates. Activities were spread across all areas of the facility.

While parents and carers were trying out classes, children were able to take part in special activities such as Disney playmakers and soft archery.

The centre’s fitness suite includes a cardio-vascular and resistance area as well as a strength and conditioning space with plate-loaded stations and benches, Olympic bars and dumbbells ranging from 12kg to 50kg.

The centre also boasts a swimming pool and sports hall.

A spokesperson said: “Our team were delighted with the tremendous response we received from our local community who turned up throughout the day to try a range of fitness activities.

“We are extremely lucky to have a loyal and active customer base who are very supportive of our leisure centre.”
