Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team called to help evacuate casualty injured in fall at Fairy Glen beauty spot on Black Isle

A CASUALTY hurt at a Black Isle beauty spot triggered a call-out to a mountain rescue team for help.

Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team was yesterday alerted to the incident by the Scottish Ambulance Service for help evacuating a walker with a leg injury at the Fairy Glen footpath at Rosemarkie on the Black Isle.

Thirteen team members attended and evacuated the casualty by stretcher to the roadside for transfer by ambulance to hospital.

It is understood a lower leg injury was suffered by the casualty. No further details have been given.

DMRT later posted: "The team wish the casualty a speedy recovery."
