Fashion first for Strathpeffer Pavilion
Bargain designer fashion will be up for grabs in Strathpeffer
PLANS are in hand for a major summer fashion show at the Strathpeffer Pavilion - and every garment has come from charity.
The show, which includes an impressive list of designer labels, is being organised by the Evanton-based international relief charity Blythswood.
"I can’t believe the things that people donate," said events organiser Maryanne Macleod of Blythswood.
"We have a wedding dress by Hilary Morgan still with its label. It is a silhouette ball gown style with a sweetheart neckline in ivory satin a tulle skirt.
"We also have a Hugo Boss cashmere three quarter length coat.
"For children we have kilt and jacket for a two-year-old, and a three-piece pinstripe suit that might fit a seven-year-old.
"A Vera Mont designer shift dress would cost £225 on the High Street. We’re selling it for £75."
The models will hit the pavilion’s catwalk on the evening of Friday June 3.
As well as being able to buy clothes on the night, ticket holders will be given a voucher that qualifies them for a 25 per cent discount on clothing and accessories at Blythswood shops. Dingwall firm Rainbow Hair Beauty Design is contributing hairstyling and makeup while Culloden firm Hearts Etc Jewellery is exhibiting its range.
Tickets are available now from the Strathpeffer Pavilion’s website or from Blythswood Care on (01349) 830777.
