AN INVERGORDON primary school is toasting its local Co-op – for a £1150 windfall boost to its funds.

The town’s local store raised the cash from generous customers in aid of the town’s South Lodge Primary, where staff and pupils were delighted by the size of the donation.

Some of the school’s pupils are pictured receiving the donation from Co-op manager, Lorna Stefaniak, left, with pupil support assistant, Mrs Anne Gillies.

Head teacher, David Hayes-MacLeod, said: “We are so grateful for the amazing amount raised by the shoppers of the Co-op in Invergordon.

“School budgets are becoming tighter and tighter every year so this money will benefit the children hugely.

“A massive thank-you to all who donated and to the Co-op for choosing us.”
