Tain Royal Academy Gizzen Briggs group hits the right note with lifeline charity at Eastgate gig
TALENTED young Easter Ross musicians hit the right note with visitors to the Highlands' biggest shopping centre – raising a remarkable £1794 for charity in the process.
Tain Royal Academy's Gizzen Briggs players were in the Eastgate Centre to work their musical magic on behalf of Marie Curie, which provides care at home for people with life-limiting conditions.
Marie Curie community fundraiser Vonnie Stevenson said: "We are so lucky to have the support of Tain Royal's Gizzen Briggs. They have been part of our Daffodil Day of Music at Eastgate Centre since 2006 and the staff and customers absolutely love them.
"Such amazing local talent and it's wonderful to see the pupils year after year. It’s a great day out for us all and makes a huge difference to how much we then raise."
Marie Curie provides high quality nursing totally free, to give people with any terminal illness the choice of dying at home, supported by their families.
