Green team blossoming in Muir of Ord and Maryburgh as Highland Council pledges community empowerment

A BID to boost civic pride in Ross-shire villages is blossoming with the help of Green and Clean Team operatives Jade Skea and Gareth Meadows.

The horticulturists are focussing on Muir of Ord and Maryburgh and this week met Highland Council leader Raymond Bremner who spelled out his vision for community empowerment when he visited the area.

Muir of Ord is currently in the midst of an eagerly anticipated gala week with a host of events taking place. A 'hoolie in the square' was well-attended by people of all ages.
