High Street book and gift shop business The Emporium in Black Isle town of Cromarty announces closure plans 'with mixed emotions'
THE owner of a Black Isle High Street book and gift shop has announced closure plans "with mixed emotions".
Judy Harvey, proprietor of The Emporium in Cromarty, plans closing on October 24 and will be having a clearance sale of stock starting this weekend.
She posted: "It is with mixed emotions that I announce the closure of the Emporium on Monday, October 24.
"It has been a challenging and rewarding nine years. It was especially difficult with Covid restrictions which required me to close the coffee shop. However, expanding children’s toys and books was a great success.
"I want to thank my loyal staff, all my customers, local artists and fellow business owners for their support and help. I have made lifelong friends and experienced many wonderful adventures."
She is having a sale to clear out all stock, starting today (Friday) and running until Sunday, October 23.
She added: "Please come in and take advantage of many bargains and enjoy some early Christmas shopping.
"My sincere appreciation to everyone."
The store features local artists' greeting cards, original sketches and prints, Dunoon mugs, scarves and bags, Celtic jewellery, Highland Soap Company soaps and hand sanitizer.
