Highland Heroes 2025 – nominate your primary school teachers

Starting primary school is a major milestone for children, and for their teachers, it is a huge responsibility as they educate and support their young students on their first steps outside the comfort of home.

Highland Heroes celebrates their hard work and dedication with the primary school teacher of the year award.

NOMINATE your Highland Heroes 2025 by midnight on Sunday, December 15.

The winner will be a primary school teacher who has made a significant difference, beyond the normal expectations, to the learning experience of their pupils or found innovative ways to teach that helps pupils enjoy it and be successful.

Culloden Cars is sponsoring the award for primary school teacher of the year once again.

“The primary school teacher of the year award holds a special place in our hearts, especially with teaching being a family tradition. The latest recruit is my daughter who is in her second year of study at Aberdeen University and well on her way to become a primary school teacher. “We believe that teachers are the true superheroes, shaping the future one student at a time. We encourage everyone to nominate the outstanding teachers in their lives ‒ let’s celebrate the everyday heroes who are changing the world in our very own classrooms!"

Highland Heroes 2025 is a fantastic way to give thanks and to celebrate the unsung heroes in your community.

• Emergency services

• Fundraiser

• Volunteer

• Green hero

• Brave child

• Healthcare hero

• School

• Primary teacher

• Primary pupil

• Secondary pupil

• Secondary teacher

Once all of the nominations have been submitted, our judges will whittle down the entries to create a shortlist and you will be invited to vote for your winners.

All of the finalists, sponsors and guests will be invited to the awards ceremony at the Macdonald Drumossie Hotel on Friday, March 14, 2025 where the winners will be revealed!

In addition to the main categories, there is also a very special award presented on the night.

A hero of heroes will be chosen by the judges from among all of your winners.
