Highland Council receives planning application for holiday let cabins on Lochalsh croft site between Dornie and Balmacara
Three holiday let cabins could be built on croft land in the Lochalsh area under plans lodged with Highland Council.
Applicant David Hewitt is seeking permission to erect the holiday accommodation on land at Avernish, which sits on the coast between Dornie and Balmacara.
If approved, the cabins - which would each have turf roofs and untreated larch-clad wooden walls - would be located on land to the north-east of Avernish Lodge. They would be accessed via an existing track and entrance located to the east of the lodge's own entrance junction.
Each of the cabins would house a bedroom, shower-room and an open plan living/kitchen room. There would be parking on site as well.
