Invergordon lifeboat launches to aid quad biker
A volunteer crew of six launched the lifeboat at 8.23pm and made best speed to the position given by Aberdeen Coastguard which was around the Balconie Point area off Evanton.
Police were in attendance along with a Coastguard team from Dornoch.
A member of public had reported a male having difficulties with a quad bike in thick mud and requiring assistance.
Michael MacDonald, of Invergordon RNLI, said: "A crew member made their way to the location by road and it was clear on arrival that the male had managed to recover himself and the bike before assistance arrived.
"Two RNLI crew members were deployed in the XP daughter boat to the shoreline to assist and carry out a quick search before
proceeding back to the lifeboat.
"After it was clear that all was deemed well and no one in difficulty, the lifeboat was then stood down and clear to return to the berth in Invergordon’s West Harbour."
The boat was refueled and made ready for service for 9.45pm.
