Faults and a broken down train have sparked the cancellation of five services between Aberdeen and Inverness today (April 29).

The 2.28pm Inverness to Aberdeen train is cancelled due to a fault on the train. The 4.22pm Inverness to Elgin service is also cancelled due to a broken down train, with the 6.02pm Elgin to Inverness train cancelled for the same reason.

Two trains from Elgin to Inverness and from Inverness to Aberdeen were also cancelled earlier today, due to broken down trains and faults.

The disrupted trains between Inverness and Aberdeen were the only cancellations reporter across the entire ScotRail network at the time of writing.
