Fast food giant KFC's move to reopen Inverness drive thru causes lengthy tailbacks that reach A9 Raigmore Interchange as Highland fans seek a chicken fix following shutdown due to Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic
FANS of fast food have caused lengthy tailbacks outside KFC in Inverness.
The takeaway on Millburn Road, that reopened earlier today, saw droves of people join a long queue for some of the Colonel's chicken.
KFC had been closed since March, but reopened today, Wednesday.
Shocked motorists said drivers were so set on getting some take away food, that they were being inconsiderate to other road users, including ambulances.
On social media one woman said: "The queue for KFC, nice one, what a way to block a main route to the hospital for ambulances and other vehicles, also blocking the way for all other emergency services."
Another said: "The queue was all the way back to past the roundabout, and was completely blocking the road. It is only chicken, not worth risking a life over guys!"
