Man charged after £32k worth of heroin and cocaine seized in Alness police raid

A man in Alness has been charged with drugs offences after heroin and cocaine worth more than £32,000 were recovered from a property in Milnafua.

Police said a 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged. It followed a search of the address after officers executed a warrant at around 10am on Tuesday.

As well as the drugs, a large sum of money was also recovered from the property.

Police said a report had been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and the man was expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court earlier on Wednesday, May 1.

Detective Inspector Andy Bilton of CID said: “We remain committed to disrupting county lines drug dealing activities in our Highland communities.

“We will continue to target drug dealers through local and national intelligence gathering as well as operational and enforcement activity.

“The public have a role to play in this by reporting drug misuse and associated criminality to us to that we can investigate.”
