Police are appealing for witnesses to a Ross-shire accident

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a Ross smash which has left a man in hospital with "serious" injuries .

The accident involving a car and motorcycle happened this morning around 9.45am at Dornie Bridge on the A87.

In a statement, Northern Constabulary said that as a result of the accident, a 37-year-old man from the Glasgow area has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The road is now fully open and police inquiries into the collision are continuing.
