Missing Kyle of Lochalsh man triggers police appeal; Car he was believed to be driving found at Kyleakin

POLICE are seeking help tracing a man posted missing from a Ross-shire community.

Gordon Buchan (55) has been reported missing from Kyle of Lochalsh.

Mr Buchan was last seen around 3pm on Sunday, March 1 in Kyle.

He is believed to have been driving a light blue Citroen C4 – registration R006 KFU – which has since been traced in Kyleakin.

He is described as 5 ft 10 ins, medium build, with short, dark greying hair.

When last seen, he was wearing blue jeans, a grey t-shirt and green waterproof jacket.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Police on 101, quoting reference number 1739 of Monday, March 2.

Kyle lifeboat was also launched on service earlier today although it is not yet clear whether this is related to the search.
