"Easter Ross has some of the best farmland in the Highlands as well as Scotland. This is, in no small measure, down the dedication and hard work that farmers have put in over the centuries. The club has played an important role in developing this and all those past and present and deserve the greatest of praise."

"In the climate change era and in a time when local food production is going to become a pressing issue it is of the utmost importance that clubs like this are to the fore in safeguarding and developing their industry. The past work of the Easter Ross farmers club has led to a position where the area is a major player in farming."

"The work that they will carry out in the present and near future will help secure that legacy as well as giving a solid foundation to the future of the area, region and nation."

"The Scottish Government is very much on the side of farmers and local production. With support at a national level and development at the local level then farming in Easter Ross and the rest of Scotland has a bright future. Farming is a bedrock of any nation and I am sure that clubs like the Easter Ross Farmers Club will further help cement Scotland's excellent world reputation for high quality produce, as well as securing greater food security."
