The constituency MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch will this week hold her second online surgery in the space of a week to cater for demand for appointments.

Last week Kate Forbes MSP spent five hours with 15-minute virtual surgery slots for constituents – but as not everyone could be accommodated due to time constraints she is doing the same again on Thursday.

The large constituency includes the Black Isle and Dingwall.

Normally she would be holding regular surgeries across her vast constituency, but due to the present lockdown restrictions these are unlikely to return in the near future.

Miss Forbes said: “My first online surgery was very busy, as I spent a full afternoon speaking to constituents virtually.

“In ordinary times, I would be travelling across the constituency holding surgeries in village halls. Instead, I am doing it from my own home but still able to speak to constituents directly.

“I’d like to thank everybody who took part, raising as they did a number of issues which I will work on. Unfortunately, I couldn’t fit everybody in on Friday afternoon and so I will be holding another surgery on Thursday.”

Kate hopes to hold a third surgery in the near future, and requests for an appointment can be made by emailing kate.forbes.msp@parliament.scot
