A ROSS-SHIRE bowling club hit the new season on a roll.

With around 30 members, Muir of Ord Bowling Club welcomed four folk who had never tried the sport before at its season opener.

Setting the scene, the club’s Heather Stewart said: “We very much encourage anybody that shows even a slight interest in bowls to come and give it a try.

“We had four people who hadn't tried before come to see what was happening and before long they were on the green and enjoying themselves and intending to come along and join the club.
