Ahead of the final episode, she took to her social media page to share: “It's insane watching yourself cry on national telly I tell you, I'm so ready for that not to be a thing every week anymore!
”When we got the briefs I often thought of an idea and then tried to figure out how to make it. I know this isn't the most sound approach to achieve perfection, but I am so glad I pushed myself to the very edge of what I thought might be possible.
The Highland woman is one of three remaining contestants in the competition’s final, where the trio will try their hand at making opera gloves, to showcase their skills working with delicate fabrics.
Later in the episode, they will be tasked with turning party paraphernalia into an outfit for the Transformation Challenge, before creating a full outfit by draping fabric onto their models in the Made to Measure challenge.
The BBC One series is hosted by Ghosts star Kiell Smith-Bynoe, with judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young.
Ross-shire locals are rooting for Ailsa to scoop up the prestigious trophy and title of Best Amateur Sewer.
The Great British Sewing Bee final airs on Wednesday 24th July, on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 9pm.
