A ROCKNESS reveller who was caught with cocaine at the music festival claimed his girlfriend found the drug, Inverness Sheriff Court heard this week.

Richard Godfrey (23) was fined £450 after admitting possessing the class A substance in the main arena at the Dores event on June 12 last year.

Godfrey, who is now single, was found with two bags containing cocaine worth up to £100.

Defence agent John McColl said Godfrey, of Bonnyrig Place, Dundee, was not a drug taker, but that his then girlfriend had found the bags, and she had suggested they try it.

A police search was carried out after she was seen openly taking the drug.
