Police have recovered a body of a woman who is believed to have been missing for more than three weeks.

On Saturday, Police Scotland said they had found a body which is thought to be that of Santra Saju, 22, who was reported missing on December 6.

Police found the woman’s body in the water near Newbridge, Edinburgh.

Formal identification has yet to take place, but Ms Saju’s family has been made aware.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
