Early tries could see Cartha fold in cup tie

Momentum could be key in Highland’s National League Cup match against Cartha Queens tomorrow.

Highland are within touching distance of the top of National Two, while Cartha are languishing at the bottom of National One having only won two out of 12 games so far this season.

The respective positions the clubs find themselves in suggest that there is not much between them.

And after twice beating higher tier opposition last year, head coach Dave Carson says that his squad is full of confidence.

“They are certainly enjoying it at the moment but there’s a pressure that comes with going for five points,” he explained.
