Ross Sutherland return to the defence of the Caledonia North Bowl on Saturday when they face RAF Lossiemouth in the quarter finals at Invergordon.

The Stags won the Bowl last season when they defeated Aberdeen University in the final 19-18.

An injury-time try from John Reid gave them the title for the first time in their history and put them on their way to winning the National Bowl at Murrayfield when they beat Wigtownshire 12-3 in the final.

Despite looking for promotion from Caledonia North Two this season, head coach John Mann says the bowl has a special place in the club’s heart and retaining it is a priority.
